Sightsavers is excited to be recruiting several Programme Interns across our Nigeria offices on Kaduna, Kebbi, Kwara, Benue, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kogi.
Each Programme Intern will work within the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) programmes and support the implementation of Sightsavers NTDs project in the state by assisting the Programme Officer and therefore gaining valuable experience in project implementation.
Each Programme Intern will assist in the development and documentation of state NTD programmes implementation plans, help with filing and archiving of programme, monitoring and financial reports, arrange and coordinate programme meetings and activities and ensure reports and written and submitted with and expected timeframe. They will assist in innovative implementation of activities for programme delivery and achievement of organisational objectives, and with processing payments to vendors, per diem and transportation for participants during field activities.
The Interns will discuss their objectives with their line managers, receive on-going on the job coaching and have monthly review meetings to help with progression.
As a successful Programme Intern, you will have a First Degree or Higher National Diploma in Sciences or Social Sciences, have the ability to build strong working relationships and to think strategically and translate concepts into effective action plans. You will also have some experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects, understand and be able to work with project budgets, forecasts and reports, and have a commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.Advertisement
